“Birthday Books” is a new program that provides our students and faculty with an opportunity to celebrate their birthday by giving a book to our Media Center.  On the last Friday of the month, each student, parent or faculty member whose birthday was in August or September can visit the library after the Attendance Olympics to purchase a book from a designated collection.  This book is their birthday gift for our library!

The giver signs a birthday card that they will place on the inside cover of his/her selected book.  These books will be displayed for a month on the birthday collection shelf then shelved the following month.  The students will also sign a special birthday poster that is displayed on the library/media center’s front door. 

Each book for the month of Sept. will cost $10.00.  For the month of October the books will be purchased from the book fair.  Prices will be between $10-$15.00 for the months that follow October.  The money will be collected on the last Friday of the month with the exception of October.
