The NSUE- Lab’s library/media center strives to establish a strong foundation for lifelong reading and learning as well as to encourage intellectual curiosity.  As the media specialist I plan lessons and activities that provide services as well as resources to foster growth in knowledge and the love of reading. 

Working in the NSU-E library along side the most talented and caring teachers, awesome students, and incredibly supportive parents is truly an honor and blessing.  I look forward to reaching new heights this year with this awesome team!

Over the past 16 years, I have enjoyed teaching students from kindergarten through the sixth grade in Natchitoches Parish.   I received my bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Northwestern State University and my master’s degree in guidance counseling at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge.  Areas of certification include teaching grades k-8, elementary and high school librarian, supervision of student teachers, and school counseling.  I am also a trained National Writing Project teacher consultant. 

New Orleans is where I grew up and where the majority of my family still resides.  My fantastic husband and five wonderful children have made our home in the town we love, Natchitoches.
